As a leader, Jesse can work with everyone, regardless of their political persuasion, while advocating our common-sense conservative values. He will be an effective representative who promotes reform. He will bring positive and energetic leadership to give Plymouth a seat at the table on Beacon Hill.If elected State Representative, Jesse will oppose any tax increases and work to lower current taxes and fees as much as possible. Jesse's Priorities for Plymouth

Jesse Brown supports policies that reflect the values and concerns of Plymouth residents. He is committed to promoting these priorities crucial to a better future for us and Massachusetts. Jesse's legisaltive priorities include:SOLVING THE MIGRANT CRISIS
Jesse will advocate prioritizing our emergency shelters for Massachusetts citizens only and, more importantly, giving the highest priority to seniors and veterans rather than migrants.

  • Stop funding the over $1 Billion of annual funding that provides migrant housing and benefits and takes money away from cities and towns. We simply can’t afford it.

  • Repeal making Massachusetts a Sanctuary State.

  • Stop giving driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants.

  • Put Veterans’ emergency shelter needs ahead of illegal migrants.

  • Require a residency requirement on the state’s emergency shelter system that should only serve Massachusetts Residents.

  • Require cities and towns in Massachusetts to comply with Federal Immigration laws or lose local aid dollars.

PRIORITIZE AFFORDABILITY
Jesse will prioritize his legislative agenda to make living in Massachusetts affordable. He will steadfastly advocate for lower taxes and fees and support legislative priorities that will lower the cost of energy, utilities, insurance, and other necessities that have been ravaged by inflation.
GROW PLYMOUTH’S ECONOMY
Tourism and small businesses are Plymouth's backbone. As a successful entrepreneur, business owner, and prior member of the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors, Jesse will advocate for significant policy changes to make Massachusetts a business-friendly state and for policies that will enhance and expand tourism in Plymouth.

  • Enhancing and maximizing our blue economy

  • Eliminating regulations that hurt economic growth

  • Streamlining state permitting for business expansion

  • Targeted tax credits for our tourism industry

SUPPORT PUBLIC SAFETY
Jesse supports working with our town officials to ensure our police, fire, and EMS services are fully funded. It is imperative that we have safe neighborhoods and a safe community overall to improve our quality of life and to make Plymouth even more attractive for business and tourism.
TRANSPARENT GOVERNMENT
Transparency is not just a promise; it's a commitment. As your State Representative, I will advocate for complete transparency in our legislature. This includes:

  • Supporting timely audits by our State Auditor

  • Recording all committee votes

  • Applying open meeting law requirements to the legislature

  • Ending the bundling of amendments that enables the majority party to force members to vote for bad policy to get their district's priorities passed

  • Ensuring state government is working for you and our communities
